Assess your profile in five steps
Answer five questions about your academics and budget. You get an immediate read on how your profile sits against typical UK entry expectations, plus a shortlist from the directory to examine with an adviser.
The result is an assessment, not an admission decision. Universities set and change their own requirements. Intandem verifies your eligibility against current university criteria before any application is submitted.

The UK Student route, in plain terms
The UK Student route is operated by UK Visas and Immigration. Rules, fees and financial thresholds are set by the Home Office and change from time to time. The key official figures are summarised in the table above, each linked to GOV.UK — recheck them before you apply.
Intandem Scholars is not a legal representative. We prepare and review documentation; immigration decisions rest with UK Visas and Immigration.
Applying from Nepal: what is different
Applying from Kathmandu, Pokhara or Biratnagar raises questions a general UK guide never answers: how your +2 or Tribhuvan University transcript is read, which bank documents satisfy the financial requirement, how long attestation takes, and when to book the TB test so it does not delay your application.
Intandem Scholars works with Nepali applicants end to end, from the first shortlist to the pre-departure brief.
Nepali qualifications, read correctly
NEB +2, A-Levels, bachelor's from TU, PU, KU and affiliated colleges — mapped to what each university expects.
Financial documentation
Bank balance certificates, source of funds and sponsor letters prepared to the standard the Home Office actually checks.
Timing your application
Working backwards from your intended start so attestation, English tests and visa processing all fit.
About Intandem Scholars
Intandem Scholars is an education consultancy based in Kathmandu, Nepal, helping students explore study opportunities abroad — including UK university selection, applications and Student route application support.
This platform is the working tool behind that advice: the same directory, filters and eligibility checks our counsellors use, opened up so you can start on your own.
We show tuition fees and entry requirements only where the university has shared them. Where something is unconfirmed, the platform says so.

Studying in the United Kingdom: what Nepali students should understand before applying
Why the UK
The UK's one-year master's is one of the shortest routes to a recognised postgraduate qualification, which shortens the period a family is funding living costs abroad. Degrees are quality-assured across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and qualifications are widely recognised by employers in Nepal and internationally.
Choosing a university, not a ranking
Rankings measure research output more than they measure teaching, placement support or how a given department treats international students. A better sequence is: confirm the course content matches what you want to do, confirm entry requirements are realistic for your transcript, confirm the city's living costs fit your budget, and only then consider reputation.
Costs and honest budgeting
Tuition varies substantially by institution, subject and level, and living costs in London are materially higher than in most other UK cities. Because published fees change each academic year, this platform does not display a fee unless it has been verified for that course. Ask Intandem for the current figure rather than budgeting from a number found elsewhere.
English language evidence
Most Nepali applicants provide a recognised English test, but the accepted tests, minimum component scores and any internal assessment option are set by each university and revised regularly. Treat any score you have seen quoted as provisional until it is confirmed against the university's current admissions page.
Applying with clarity
Strong applications from Nepal are rarely the ones with the highest grades. They are the ones where the course choice follows logically from the applicant's previous study, the personal statement answers why this course and why now, and the financial evidence is prepared correctly the first time. That is the work this platform is designed to support.
Questions we are asked most
Can I apply from Nepal without IELTS? +
Some universities accept alternative evidence of English, including an MOI letter, a Class 12 English score waiver, other approved tests or an internal assessment. Policies differ by institution and change over time, so check current university requirements before assuming a waiver applies to you.
How much does it cost to study in the UK? +
Tuition depends on the university, subject and level, and living costs in London are materially higher than elsewhere in the UK. Tuition is set by each university. On top of tuition, the official 2026 figures are a £558 application fee, a £776-per-year Immigration Health Surcharge, and living-cost funds of £1,529 a month in London or £1,171 a month elsewhere (up to 9 months), per GOV.UK. Ask us for the verified fee for a specific course.
Is a two-year gap after my bachelor’s a problem? +
Not automatically. Several universities accept study gaps where you can account for the period with work, training or family circumstances. How a gap is treated is set by each university’s admissions policy.
Can I work while studying in the UK? +
On a degree-level course at a university you can usually work up to 20 hours a week during term and full-time outside term (Immigration Rules, Appendix Student ST 26.1). Your own permission conditions are what apply, so check them.
Can my spouse come with me? +
For postgraduate courses starting on or after 1 January 2024, only PhD/doctoral or research-based degrees allow dependants, per GOV.UK. Most taught master's courses do not.
What does Intandem Scholars charge? +
Contact us for current service terms.
Does an assessment result guarantee admission? +
No. The profile assessment indicates how your answers sit against typical UK entry expectations. Admission decisions are made solely by universities against their own criteria.
